How to make the Chinese noodle set

Thaw the frozen soup in a water bath. *Do not heat in boiling water for more than 30 minutes.

It will take about 10 minutes to defrost in boiling water. Once defrosted, transfer to another pot.

Boil the noodles. The noodles are frozen. When boiling, do not defrost them, but simply place them in boiling water. Depending on the heat, they will be cooked in 1-2 minutes in boiling water. Adjust to your liking. *When you put the frozen noodles in boiling water, stir with chopsticks until they loosen. *The noodles will loosen better if you let them thaw naturally first.

Transfer the noodles to a bowl according to your desired firmness.

Pour the warm soup into a bowl.

Shape the noodles with chopsticks and top with the toppings (roasted pork and bamboo shoots).

*Add any ingredients you like in addition to those included.

How to make wonton

  1. Add salt, pepper, and chili oil to the minced pork and knead well.
  2. Stir in the finely chopped spring onions (don't knead too much at this stage).
  3. Wrap the filling in the thawed skin. (Don't use too much filling, as it will take longer to cook and the extremely thin wonton skin will fall apart and lose its texture.)
  4. Boiling time depends on the heat and the amount of filling, but it should be around 10 to 30 seconds. Stir gently with chopsticks while boiling.
  5. Here is a video explaining how to boil them. (With sound)

Precautions when boiling

Do not use a small saucepan for boiling water.

Do not tip the soup over so that it hangs over the edge of the pot.

There is a risk of the soup container catching fire.
